I also am experiencing fatigue, flab and fascination with some "invasives". I also love the very cool edgeworthia. The USDA updated their Plant Hardiness Zone Map in 2023. Most of our area is Zone 7a or 7b. One has to account for microclimates. Proof from our federal government that things are heating up. Before even reading everything you wrote, I have to thank you for what you wrote about the way people are being harmed. I could write plenty, I have said plenty on Youtube (almost no one listens) and was involved, in Tennessee, but had to move to Georgia in late 2018, and it is incredible what a difference a state line makes. East Tennessee is terrifying in many ways, but I have good friends there. Marital abandonment in 2017 upended my life (if I haven't mentioned that before) and I haven't been able to help people in the same ways, and it is infuriating. I do readings as a clairvoyant (also might have mentioned that before), starting in late 2019, but the shop is closed right now because of the impact on my body. That is always a "time to close the shop for however long it takes." We are going to put an end to the harm, and I understand what you mean about showing up every day, I was thinking something like that before starting to read your email, when I was doing chores, before sitting down to look at email. I thought you were older than me! I am 56. If you aren't through menopause yet, you will be so happy (that way we are happy as older adults, relieved) when you are through it! I can't say life has been easier, and I have been stunned at the way men have treated me the past several years, I think some things have gotten worse, it is unreal to me! I am ready to teach lessons. I try to be gentle enough, but sometimes that is too much for weak men. Some of the best men have died, a few men in the past few years, our age range, it makes me feel sick to think about it, the grief of it. Yes on the heat, for me it's the mosquitos, I cover myself up to go in the back yard and am not going out more than I really need to. I miss being outdoors and rely on memories, quite a lot. The grief of what happened to the mountains, well, I am thankful you all weren't as directly affected, but that was a major, major disaster. I am not even sure that is a strong enough word for it. Very thankful for you, and I'm not sure how I found you/ended up getting your emails, but I am so thankful!
Time to inhale the cooling plants. Drinking coconut water, cooking with the coconut milk and applying coconut oil to the skin. Do a short aloe cleanse. Cilantro chutney added to food at your meals. Include corinader and cumin in foods. Good resources on BanyonBiotanicals.com
I love this and your perspective on our communities
Hooray for lilacs! I am actually "allergic" to heat (I have chronic urticaria which is triggered by heat), worse since perimenopause. I hear you! xo
